Zac spent time visiting the Sydney Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, Sember 21, 2010, while in Australia promoting Charlie St. Cloud
MEETING heart-throb Zac Efron yesterday was great news for young Olivia Wall. But it wasn’t the best news.
“While it’s nice that Zac’s here to visit, we got the really good news yesterday that her cancer is in remission,” Shoshana Wall said.
The High School Musical star made a low-key visit to the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick and won the hearts of patients like Olivia, their parents and the staff.
Efron, in Sydney for the premiere of his latest film Charlie St Cloud, spent an hour with the children in the cancer ward.
The star was friendly and relaxed with six-year-old Olivia, an ardent Efron fan who has non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The first-grader was happy to hug Efron and read her favourite picture book – High School Musical.
“What a coincidence,” Efron joked.
Asked by Efron who was her favourite characters, Olivia replied “Sharpay” (Ashley Tisdale), an answer that brought a few chuckles.
“She’s one of my favourites too,” Eftron said.

Zac Efron ~ Departing Sydney ~ September 22, 2010
After an International Promotional Tour for Charlie St. Cloud that lasted just shy of two weeks and took Zac to France, Spain, Germany, England and Australia, he boarded a plane in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday, September 22, to head home to Los Angeles.
Zac’s next project, The Lucky One, begins filming in October in New Orleans, Louisana.

Zac Efron ~ Charlie St. Cloud Premiere ~ Sydney, Australia ~ September 19, 2010
Zac wrapped up his international promo tour for Charlie St. Cloud on Sunday afternoon, September 19, in Sydney, Australia. Hundreds of screaming fans cheered Zac on as he walked the red carpet for the Australian premiere of his movie. Zac stopped to take pictures, sign autographs and give interviews. Before heading back to L.A., Zac will be doing some more promo in Australia on Monday, September 20.
The facial hair Zac sported throughout this promortional tour is in preparation for his next role. Zac will be playing a marine in The Lucky One, an adaption of a Nicholas Sparts novel. Filming for The Lucky One begins in October.
